God Doesn't want Namby-pambies

I just finished a book called The Open Door. It was a really good true story of simple faith in the mountains of Kentucky.

One paragraph really stuck out to me:

"Lewis then talked to the children about trials. ' You must wonder why God sometimes sends us hard times like we are now having with this storm. He wants to build character and stamina in His children. He doesn't want a bunch of namby-pambies who can't take a bit of buffeting. An easy life makes soft people. We should praise the Lord for the hardships we must endure; we'll be better persons because of it.'"
