{that place}

A week and a half ago I got married to the mechanic man that I love, and he surprised me by taking our honeymoon to that place. That place that I haven't been to in six years. That place that gives me a sense of peace. That place that I hold dear.

That place is Buena Vista Colorado, high up in the mountains.

And boy, did I enjoy showing my man around to all my family's old haunts.

Now, I took a LOT of pictures that I obviously can't post all on here. But I want you to be able to see. Especially my family back home.

our shadows walking through Winfield

Winfield

us at a cabin...forget which ghost town this was

it snowed while we were there

at Mary Murphy Mine

the old boardinghouse near Hancock that we always got pictures in. We ate lunch here and it was COLD!

almost at the top of Tin Cup Pass

most of the aspens were nice and yellow for us

it snowed the second night we were there....this was the view from the back of the bed & breakfast where we stayed....right on the road to Fourmile

Vicksburg

Loback's Bakery where we ate donuts for breakfast one morning

That's Uncle George and Aunt Shelby's house above the white car

our old swimming hole

this is the trail that Dad always took us down even though us kids hated it because it was rough

I put this picture on for you, Erni. This is Kim's truck. She has a sticker on the back that says "God, guns and guts, let's keep it that way."

So I pretty much had a blast the whole time I was there. A part of my past came alive again, and I missed that part more than I thought.

We're hoping to make it back to that place.

And soon.
