{day thirteen|relationship status|}
It all started on a very cold January night.
"Would you, like, be interested in getting to know each other better?" he asked.
"Sure!" she replied.
"You're up to that?"
"Um, yeah..."
I laugh when I think of his second question now. That's when Mr. Mechanic Man started our courtship. Our long-distance one. He left for Ohio a few days later.
Actually, if I think about this right, I guess it really started that morning when he asked my dad if he could court me. Dad's response? "Sure, but don't come crying to me if she drops you like a hot potato. "
I laugh about that too. Now we've been married for one year and one day exactly. It hasn't been bliss. There have been hard times. BUT, it has been good. I can't wait for the next years to come.
Oh, and for those of you still wondering somehow, I haven't dropped him like a hot potato and don't ever plan to.
