{it's about time}

I know it's been a while since my last post...it's been like that for the past few months. In the midst of our busy summer schedule, I realized that my laptop was slowly dying. One day when I had time to slow down and get on the computer, I noticed that my music would  just quite playing in the middle of songs. The internet seemed really slow. It took a long time to load pictures to look at. And it only got worse.
After a while I couldn't do anything on the laptop. Somehow I managed to back up everything I had on there but that in itself took hours.

Which leads me to why the blog is neglected of late. It's hard to post from a smart phone. I managed a few, but I couldn't even use pictures because my phone said I only had two on it. It was definitely a struggle. Have I mentioned that I'm not technically inclined? At all. But I limped along. And now we finally have a laptop again. Which means more posts {hopefully}.

First I thought I'd just tell you about the projects I've done lately. {lately meaning over the past months!}

I did this mirror project with my sister back in April or May. I've been feeling bogged down with all the brown in my living room, so I've been trying to incorporate teal or turquoise blues. This mirror was the first part of that ongoing process.

We painted it blue and then sanded it lightly to let some of the gold show through.
I painted this pumpkin back in the summer when I was waiting for Fall to arrive. I'm still waiting for Fall to arrive but my house is completely decorated for it and this cute little sign now hangs in the bathroom.

Could we pause here to talk about Waverly paints and other supplies? I love the colors! I got this orange {appropriately called "pumpkin" :D} for twenty cents on a Walmart special one lucky day.
This is the chalk art that's hanging out in my living room right now. I really should do more of a Fall themed one but I love this one too much!

Lastly I'll leave you with a picture of out little-guy-who's-not-so-little-anymore. And who's also waking up from a long nap to let me know how hungry he is. Please excuse the yogurt bite in his mouth!
Happy Friday, folks!

Thanks! I painted the pumpkin on the top of and old picket fence that they tore down on property.
