How is it May already? And what happened to this little blog? In the midst of spring cleaning, I remembered that it had been over a month since I posted on here. I really just forgot what with deep cleaning. Which I'm still doing...
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone checks in here anymore. And if you do, would you like to see a currently post for each month? Because those are definitely easier for me to do but I get it if you're bored with them. Let me know in the comments!
[MY HOUSE IS] starting to sparkle, it's getting so clean! Ok, not really with all the toys out everywhere no matter how many times I pick them up and mail that just won't stay filed, but it's definitely less dusty around here. I'm hoping to finish spring cleaning by the time my sister comes towards the ends of this month...fingers crossed.
[MY MAN IS] busy, busy, busy. Enjoying working on cars full-time again, except for Monday. Monday was a rough day at the shop. 'Nough said.
[MY BABES ARE] having a better afternoon with Mama than the morning. If only kids were born wanting to place kindly with each other.
[MY DOG IS] a nutcase. I really can't figure this dog out. Like is he playing dumb, or is he really that dumb?! Like barking at the house because he wants to be inside. From across the yard. On his runner cable. Sorry, neighbors.
[MY KITCHEN IS] my happy place. I've been having such a good time cooking lately. Even if I can't seem to get meals done on time.
[MY GARDEN IS] making me sooo happy. After living in the desert and hardly getting anything to grow, you can imagine my joy at having gardens here where things like tulips and hostas are popping up on their own. I was really beginning to believe I had a black thumb.
[MY HEART IS] being molded. I'm reading a book on my mom's recommendation, "Respectable Sins", and man is that convicting. It's been so eye-opening and yes, painful, but great for my spiritual life.
[MY PRAYERS ARE] for grace. All day, every day.
[MY CLOSET IS] ok, so we don't have an actual closet for me and Trevor here at Knollwood. I share one with Evelyn. Which is probably the way it'll end up being in every aspect some day but for now it's just the closet space. I've been trying to just keep stuff that I know I love or that fits really well.
[MY SEWING MACHINE IS] bound to be busy here soon. I just sewed up a shirt for myself, but I have to re-do the neck binding. Then there's secret projects going on for presents, and maybe sometime I'll get around to sewing together the quilt squares I've been cutting out occasionally.
[MY CRAFTINESS IS] not doing too much lately. I'm too busy cleaning. But I did paint some signs lately.
[MY FAVORITE THING TODAY IS] our redbud trees. They're in full bloom now, and such a gorgeous shade of pink. At lunchtime today the one outside the kitchen turned the room pinkish, as if we had stained glass windows. I'm so thankful for trees!
[MY GOD IS] the master of the wind. Today while I was mowing the lawn for the first time this season, there were a few times when I felt so hot and worn out {I'm still adjusting to humidity} I'd sit in the shade for a little and pray that the Lord would give me the strength to finish before it storms tonight. And the next thing I know, a cool breeze was blowing across my flushed cheeks. It was just what I needed to carry on.
