{on Colorado}

I didn't take any pictures of the last Navajo trip {my apologies} but I had a great time. I got to share the Gospel twice, and one girl, Malawna, accepted Christ as her Saviour. Please pray for her, that she'd be able to go to church. She told me that her family quit going to church but she didn't know why; she wondered if her parents didn't like church.

Anyway, I wrote this poem about Colorado over the Fourth of July weekend but never got around to posting it. And since we drove through CO on the Navajo trip, I figured I could post it now in place of my non-existent photos.

With a picture from our honeymoon, of course. I just like putting pictures of that splendorous place for you all to see.

I walk a rugged path out here,
In the mountains all a-glory.
The sun shines through the cottonwoods,
The world is golden round me.
The air I breathe, it smells of life,
Of green, of sun-kissed pine.
I walk this lovely mountain road
And think it is so fine.
I'll ne'er forget the things I smell,
The things I feel and see;
Like the freshness of the mountain lakes
And the felt of aspen trees.
The mountains never seem so grand
As now, looking wild and free.
Each memory of this mountain place
Is ever dear to me.
For it's a place of beauties fair,
It's where I long to go.
To go and stay and live and die.
They call it Colorado.

You are such a splendiferous writer, and we could all say this from our heart. I think we should print this off and frame it. I love it. Love you.
