Hebrews 11:13

At the end of the list of people in the hall of faith, you'll find this verse:

"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth."

How about us? Are we persuaded that the promises of God will come to pass? Do we embrace them and wait for them to be seen in our lives, even if we may not see them in our time? Are we strangers to this world? Are we Christ-following pilgrims in this world until He calls us home?

"Oh, to have the faith they had in those days!", we mourn.
