{When Disaster Strikes}
See this little booger?
Okay,
actually he's getting to be a big booger. But when this story took
place, he was still a little one. He was the cause of disaster. All
because he didn't want to go inside yet. To make a long story short,
this is what happened:
"Really?" you may say, "you call that a disaster?"
Um,
yes. Yes, I do. When you look at every thrift store you go to to find a
nice dark jean skirt and you only find one every once in a blue moon,
this is a disaster. It really almost made me cry.
But as I was finally sewing it up {almost a month later!} it made me think of something.
Sometimes
it seems like life just falls apart, or tears into pieces. There is
nothing you can do about it. You can't go back and change it. You
shouldn't dwell on it and let anger or bitterness toward something
{Hancock!} grow inside you.
No, you pick up the pieces. You piece them back together, and sew them up.
And
while it isn't perfect, and doesn't look the greatest, they say that
something mended once is often twice as strong. And then you move on.
And if it happens again, you do the same. There is no other way to get
through life without shriveling up inside. And if you're like me, seeing
something that is mended and can be used again is something to boost your spirits and give you the push to keep moving on.
And
then you can look out your window like I did, and instead of seeing
something to be angry at like the world {or Hancock}, you can see
something that can still be loved and appreciated.
I mean, really, who can't forgive that little red face?
