{day nine|personality type|}
I remember a day when my older sister told someone at church, "It's kinda funny. Erin is like the social butterfly, and Liv is the brown recluse."
Seriously, she told someone that. She compared me to a spider. And the funny thing was, she said this when I was going through a really obnoxious stage. Oh, well. She did have a point. I am slightly a recluse.
I took a personality type test and found out that I'm {surprise} more of an introvert. I think I've known that for awhile now.
I'm the kind of person that might come off as a snob to some people at first. I hope not, cause I really don't want to be classified that way. But the fact stands that I am not going to go up to someone I don't know and try to talk to them. It's just not going to happen.
If you want to get to know me, you have to talk to me first. I'm not going to throw myself at you. But once I get to know you, I might drive you crazy with how much I talk to you. Like, depending on what I'm talking {or ranting and raving} about {like books!} you might just wish I would be quiet, or that you had never walked across the room and said "HI!".
At the same time, I'm not going to spill my guts out to you about what I'm feeling unless I REALLY know you well. Even then, I'm usually reluctant to talk about my deepest feelings. I hardly show them to anyone. I've always been that way. Keeping it all inside, and when I couldn't handle it anymore, I'd go to the woods and spill it out to God.
However, I'm also pretty opinionated. I'm pretty sure this is different than having feelings about something. And if I know you, and a subject has come up on which I have an opinion, I'm likely to give it. I once asked someone if I came across as trying to force my opinion on them, but they said I wasn't. I still feel like I do, though. So I'm sorry if you feel that way. I'm really not trying to.
So, yes, I'm an introvert. I'm a brown recluse.
Until you get to know me. Or unless you're my family. Then it might be a different story!
