{a house}
One night last week I decided to make biscuits with supper...I forget with what we were having but biscuits sounded good with it, and so here they are. But I planned on using a cookie cutter instead of my tin can to cut them out this time. Only, when I went to get a cookie cutter, I found that all I had was Christmas cookie cutters and...well, Christmas is over for this year. But then I remembered this little house cutter that I had bought at a yard sale once, and grabbed it up.
Hence, we have house biscuits.
Anyway, I didn't want to just post pictures of little house biscuits {and one heart one that I shaped by hand}, but they brought to mind a poem I wrote a little while ago about a house. Or maybe, rather, a home.
THE FOUNDATION IS MADE OF FAMILY,
THE WALLS ARE MADE OF LOVE,
AND MEMORIES WILL CROWN THE HOUSE
IN THE ATTIC UP ABOVE.
BUT DEEP BENEATH THE FOUNDATION
IS THE GROUND IT STANDS UPON;
THE FAMILY'S ETERNAL SECURITY
IS JESUS, GOD'S ONLY SON.
