{homemade air freshener}
I love Fall. It's my favorite season. I also love the smell of cinnamon and spice. So I thought I'd try to come up with my own recipe for an fall air freshener for both of our bathrooms.
I had a "recipe" for one pinned but I never even tried it. I may someday, but I like the one that I made up good enough for now. I apologize for the dark pictures. I can't find a photo editor I like on the new laptop.
Now, lets get down to it.

|Ingredients|
1/4 c baking soda
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t pumpkin pie spice
2-4 drops of Thieves essential oils
{you could use cinnamon oil too. I didn't have any}
I use mason jars for my air fresheners {because who doesn't want to use mason jars for everything?!}. The one pictured is a new one I made for the back bathroom. You can sort of see the blue one for my bathroom in the shadows.
Anyway, to make it, I put all the dry ingredients in the mason jar and stirred it together with a spoon. Then I dashed some of the thieves oil in and kind of swirled it around the best I could. And that was it!
In my bathroom, the jar freshener has a lid with holes poked in it, which makes it easier to shake. However, I've noticed that I smell it more in the back bathroom because I didn't feel like sacrificing another lid. So you can see there's pros and cons to either way.
It works really well! I catch a whiff of it every time I enter the bathroom, and with a cloth diaper pail in there, my bathroom needed something. I think I might add a little more cinnamon next time, but that's just because I love cinnamon.
