{bathroom cabinet redo}

I started this project several months ago but, like most projects around my house, it took a while for me to complete it.

It kind of started when Trevor and I worked on the small bathroom attached to our bedroom last year. The walls were butter yellow and the shower needed some caulk. There were a few other things that also needed done, but until recently I hadn't paid much attention to the mirror cabinet above the sink.
Now, it wasn't as if it was terrible, but it was old-looking and faded and dirty. I had seen an idea on Pinterest {where else?} to mod-podge scrapbook paper onto the back of your cabinets. I thought that would be the perfect thing for a facelift.
 Before:
See how yellowed it looked? My original plan was to just paper the back of it, but after doing that, I thought I should probably paint the edges too, so they blended more with the wall.

This was my first time using Mod Podge. It was a little harder than I thought and there are a few bubbles in the paper to prove it, but it did dry super fast and overall I like the way it turned out.
 After:
 I love how it blends into the wall more now! I'm not a huge fan of these hidden cabinets in the first place, but I thought this "update" really improves the space!
