I don't know about the rest of you, but our March has started out HOT here in Texas. Every day lately has been close to or in the eighties, which makes it nice for hanging out the wash, but hard for trying to cook in a stuffy house. But, the birds are singing and my peach tree is pink again and there's been a lot of front-porch-swinging going on around here, so I can't complain too much!

Here's what I've been up to lately.
reading // "Homemaking" by J. R. Miller. My sister lent it too me months ago and I'm just now getting around to reading it, having started the other day. Often because of reading non-fiction with my devotions and just randomly, I stick to fiction for pleasure reading because my brain just seems to crave it! But I thought I'd read this one to get it off the to-read shelf.
playing // really I need to be playing fetch more with our new dog but it never seems like there are enough hours in the day.
watching // "the Walton's" a lot here lately. They simply never get old. Although I could use a new season...
trying // another soft pretzel recipe tonight. This time they're Auntie Anne's copycats...I'm beginning to wonder if there is a bad recipe for a soft pretzel.
cooking // the plan was pizza, but plans have changed and now we're going with some folks here for an early supper this afternoon.
eating // a cheese stick.
drinking // water, and some sweet tea that needs finished by Sunday.
calling // no one today, although I may call my mom to get a Grandma update later this afternoon.
texting // family.
pinning // a little bit of everything...recipes, house ideas, clothes, and inspiring mama quotes.
crafting // I have plans to paint something for spring...also remade a wreath for the front door.
doing // my best to declutter my house this month.
going // to New Mexico this coming week for an off-season Navajo trip.
loving // when Reuben takes a good long nap.
hating // my lack of motivation.
discovering // somehow, I am just what Reuben needs for a mama.
enjoying // time to swing and watch the sunsets.
thinking // I need to mop the bathroom floor and maybe bring some fans in from the shed.
feeling // tired yet happy with my day.
hoping // this trip coming up doesn't call for a week of recuperation afterwards.
listening // to the songbirds.
celebrating // the ordinary. Breezes blowing through curtains, fresh sheets on beds, buds on trees, and some really good meals this past week {even if I do say so myself}.
smelling // the sun-warmed desert.
considering // what to stain or paint my coffee table.
finishing // a study book I started last summer.
starting // to feel some inspiration.
