{CURRENTLY // 3.14.2019}
Hello again!
I'm hoping to start posting more often about what's currently going on in our lives, possibly on a monthly basis. So today is the first installment of 2019's "currently" posts.
reading// The Dancing Master by Julie Klassen. And I'm a little bored with it. I've never read any of her books but the back suggested that if you like Jane Austen you'll enjoy Julie Klassen. I'm not sure about that just yet...we'll see how the ending turns out.
playing// my violin more. I restrung it lately and have thoroughly enjoyed the resulting tone!
watching// Lark Rise to Candleford for the first time, and Home Fires. Does anyone else like to watch BBC TV series?
trying// to make sure I don't yell at my kids when they make trouble. It's a bad habit I'm trying to break because it truly doesn't make anyone feel better, not even me. And it can't be pleasing to the Lord.cooking// chicken and poblano tacos for supper. You can't go wrong with tacos, right?
eating// lots of English muffins for breakfast. Sometimes I get in breakfast ruts, eating the same thing every day. And I'm ok with that.
drinking// more sweet tea than I should be.
calling// my younger sister tomorrow for the first time in months. {don't worry, we stay in contact other ways, namely texting, snail mail, and visits}
texting// nobody today
pinning//a little bit of everything; quilt blocks, table runners, garden trellises cards to make, crafts for home and Sunday school, and "mom" purses. Also ideas to make the kids a play kitchen.
crafting// felt food and bunting for Easter.
sewing// a table runner for Easter. Walmart came out with some adorable Easter-patterned fat quarters this year! Would you like the see the table runner once I finish it?
going// to church a lot lately. We just finished two weeks of special services that were a big blessing!
loving// the organizational urges I've been having. Just in time for spring cleaning!
hating// daylight savings time. Because as if I didn't have a hard enough time getting up early, now I have to get up in the dark.
discovering//crocuses in the back yard again
enjoying//our new-to-us van, even though it has some stinky problems.
thinking// how nice it is to have relaxed evenings.
feeling// content today.
hoping// I can do more work in my flowerbeds this year.
listening// to more classical music lately
celebrating// because God is so patient with me.
smelling// a mixture of scents, some not so nice.
finishing// some small projects
starting// a blanket for Evelyn, hopefully
